In preparation for GCW LLR starting on BOINC, port 12004 on PRPNet is now set to not send out any new work. If you're running GCW PRPNet, please make sure you have at least one other port configured to get work from. Do not comment out the port 12004 line until your current work has been returned. When all the current work either finishes or times out, that port will be closed permanently. We'll allow at least a one week gap before closing the port so that the GCW stats are recorded properly and PSA credit can be given.
Part of the preparation for starting GCW in BOINC is to extract all the old residues so they can be doublechecked. For that, we need the final data from the PRPNet port. This does not mean we'll be starting GCW LLR immediately. It certainly won't happen in April and possibly not in May either. There are still two bases being sieved, but one of them will be closed within a few days and the other one should progress pretty rapidly afterwards. Once that last base (116) gets to the initial optimal level, we'll open all the bases for sieving again. At that point, assuming everything else is ready, then we'll open GCW LLR in BOINC. |
