Like me, many people here are probably concerned about the amount of power they use and its contribution toward climate change. I just recently found a new power company, Arcadia Power, which has allowed me to switch over to 100% renewable energy (indirectly). You would still be receiving the same electricity from your local power company, but Arcadia matches your usage with investment in wind farms and solar, the idea being that you would essentially be "carbon-neutral" in your electricity usage.

I wonder if this is a new phenomenon in the USA? In the UK for the last 2-3 years at least, most of the major electricity suppliers offer a 'Green tariff' for a small price-premium, and there are some specialist green suppliers - one big player is https://www.ecotricity.co.uk

I personaly installed Solar-Panels on my house here in Thailand.
But only 3.5 kWP as I can not sell any 'overproduction'

Sunshine in Thailand is 300 day's / year / @ about 8hrs

And this only for crunching !! Because I love to find primes !!

My system behaving well with Solar- Power

How is it in your setting (panels etc..) holding during heavy rains and lightning in the wind.?))
What have i been debate with people in thailand about solars setups, is hard to get through the ROI.. although there is a relatively expensive electricity. but a simple setup for a couple kW s can be done easily but you've got to know and instaled it for youself of course ))

It's not new here. I've been on the "GreenLA" program for many (15?) years, in which I pay a little bit extra to support clean sources... mainly solar, wind, small hydro, and geothermal. Of course all of the electrons on the grid get mixed together! :-)
