There is a single "Friendship request" in the "Notifications" area of my account page. When I click on the link, a page titled "Unable to handle request" opens, indicating "Request not found", depriving me of the opportunity to approve or disapprove the request and, presumably, remove the stale notification.

Is there any way I can remove the notification of the non-existent (not found) request from my account page?

Removed. The request was from a spammer. I wiped all the friends he/she had (a long time ago) but missed the notices, which I didn't know existed until just now. I'll get rid of any other ones from that user.

Edit: There were 9 other requests to/from that user. The program used to wipe friends and disable that user will now delete notifications as well.
