(actually running 2 prpnet task and 2 boinc task without HT on 4 Core i7)

Is there any benefit of running either in regards of

- running times for a task
- CPU temperatures

My room temperatures is up to 32 Celsius without air conditioner !

And yes:
I have a watercooler installed and can adjust almost any fan settings

Thanks a lot

I'll throw in some feedback (can't find any threads specific to this):

Running times:
Just as with boinc, there are different-sized projects that you can pick from depending on how long of a task you'd prefer to run. I can't see your computers so I don't know what generation i7 you have, but since average task lengths aren't posted, the easy way to find out is to run a task from each and use the progress to estimate running time. With the exception of WFS/WSS, which are really GPU projects, they are not short like SGS or PPS, but on my Sandy Bridge E will run for a few hours (or more).

CPU Temps:
121, 27 and GCW13 all use the same LLR as boinc, so you will see the same temperatures there. FPS and PRS use pfgw, which if your CPU only goes up to AVX support will use the same power as LLR (and thus temp), but does not support FMA (Haswell+), so if that's your CPU, it should have a lower temp than LLR.

32C is a pretty hot temp to have your room (or anywhere, but I live in a cooler part of the world). What's the outside temperature? Can you open a window or two, run a fan? Is this normal for where you are? Lower temperatures are best for accurate results, so add some noise to your WC setup and turn up the fan speed when crunching.

The highlighted part above is incorrect. PFGW uses the exact same gwnum libraries as LLR and supports the exact same instructions:

C:\PRPNet\prpclient-5.4.0-windows\prpclient-1>pfgw64 -V -q"143047*2^8018317-1"
PFGW Version 3.7.9.64BIT.20141125.Win_Dev [GWNUM 28.6]

Special modular reduction using FMA3 FFT length 768K, Pass1=384, Pass2=2K on 143
047*2^8018317-1

Temperatures will therefore be similar.

PFGW uses the exact same gwnum libraries as LLR and supports the exact same instructions:

Oops, my bad. I was getting my info from the release notes which made references to adding & improving AVX support, but not FMA/Haswell/etc.

Thanks for clarification.
I'm running a 6700K on 4 cores.
No OC and no HT so i can keep temp a bit under control.
Temp showing 60~70 deg C with peaks up to 74C

Opening a window from the room gets fresh air in, but not cold.
Have a look at realtime-data from my weather station

Ye gods that is a toasty climate! Your average low for the year is 9C higher than my average high (Seattle, USA).

Your CPU temp is fine considering the ambient temperature, and I can see why you're not OCing! If it's safe have the window open at night I'd recommend it.
