Hi,

I can't figure out what causes it, but whenever I let the sieving program just sit and I do nothing on the screen, the sieving rate with k^4194304+1 is around 54P/d on my GTX 780. As soon as I move my mouse around, and especially if I keep doing that for a few seconds, the rate jumps to 60P/d, but goes down again as soon as I leave everything idle on the screen.

Maybe that's the CPU. I notice some slowdown on sieving when mine downclocks to 800mhz, even if the sieve program does use next to no CPU time for n=21 and 22. Normally I have CPU tasks on Boinc pushing the boost state and having it run at 4.3ghz. But if you have nothing else, the power saving features might kick in, reducing speeds and sieve power.

You were right. I fired up BOINC and the sieving speed immediately increased to 62-63P/d. Thanks!
