After a review of the size of various tasks, we've decided to adjust some of the bonuses for long tasks.

ESP's bonus is being given a 10% bonus. It's similar in size to TRP, which has had a 10% bonus. This takes effect immediately and will apply to all current ESP workunits that have not yet been validated, as well as all future workunits.

321, which is similar in size to Cullen and Woodall, will see its bonus increase from 10% to 20%. This will take effect after the conclusion of the Leonids challenge.

As far as my computers are concern, 321 processing time is still a lot shorter than Cullen or Woodall. And just looking at the recent average processing times, 321 is taking a little over 27 hours where as Cullen and Woodall are taking 81 and 101 hours, respectively.

On the other hand, 321 processing time is on par with ESP (18 hours) and TRP (27 hours) both of which are (now) getting a 10% long job bonus. Perhaps 321 should stick with its current 10% long job bonus.

Noted. I'll take another look at the times.

EDIT: You're absolutely correct. Cullen and Woodall take a lot longer to process than the size of the numbers would indicate. The large K values appear to require substantially larger FFT sizes, which, in turn, means more processing time. So while 321 is close in size to Cullen and Woodall, 321 still runs a lot faster. 321 Will stay at 10%.

And now 321 has some jobs taking longer, as the FFT is teetering between a couple, depending on the task.

Some of the increase is certainly because of the higher numbers that are now being crunched. However, I suspect that a lot of the longer jobs are due to people running max number of cores on a multi-threading cpu during the challenge. Overheating can also cause a slowdown, which again, is more likely during the challenge as people are trying to run too many llr WUs. The average processing time went from around 27.25 to 29.5 hours. Overall this is not very much, and certainly not anywhere near the 80 hour average processing time for Cullen.
