All the latest Genefer CUDA or OCL codes fail on my 32-bit XP machine; When BOINC tries to run them, the result is "couldn't start app: CreateProcess() failed - (unknown error)". XP reports these files not to be valid Win32 applications:

I didn't see anything in the guidance that the latest versions would be dropping support for 32-bit XP; has this now happened? Or is there something else I'm missing?
GPU is an NVidia GTS450, cc 2.1 - it used to work fine before the latest update.

Did the previous versions of Genefer (3.1.2-x) work for you on XP? Our intention is that the apps should work.

You can download these from the www.primegrid.com/download directory:

primegrid_genefer_3_1_2_7_3.00_windows_intelx86__OCLcudaGFN.exe
primegrid_genefer_3_1_2_9_3.00_windows_intelx86__cudaGFN.exe

If it does, you can temporarily use those with app_info. We do have new GFN apps in the pipeline. We'll make sure those work on XP.

Yes, the previous versions http://www.primegrid.com/download/primegrid_genefer_3_1_2_9_2.12_windows_intelx86__cudaGFN.exe, http://www.primegrid.com/download/primegrid_genefer_3_1_2_9_2.12_windows_intelx86__cudaGFNWR.exe, http://www.primegrid.com/download/primegrid_genefer_3_1_2_7_2.10_windows_intelx86__OCLcudaGFN.exe & http://www.primegrid.com/download/primegrid_genefer_3_1_2_7_2.10_windows_intelx86__OCLcudaGFNWR.exe all run on my machine, provided they're supplemented by http://www.primegrid.com/download/cudart32_32_16.dll & http://www.primegrid.com/download/cufft32_32_16.dll. The CUDA versions bench faster than the OCL versions.

Please could I ask you, Iain (or anybody) for help with the app_info.xml to run the CUDA 2.12 versions of Genefer, whilst leaving all the other x86 32-bit & CUDA subprojects intact?

The usage of app_info.xml means all or nothing. If you want to run different PG subprojects, you need to have entries for all these subprojects.
