The four PRPNet GFN ports have been shut down until further notice pending investigation of a software anomaly that may produce bad results.
The genefer 3.2.0-0beta program has a bug and use of this program should be discontinued immediately.
Until this is corrected, and PRPNet is modified to be able to detect possibly erroneous data, the four ports will not be sending out new work. The ports are running, and work-in-progress can be returned (and you'll get credit), but no new work will be sent out.
If you're using geneferOCL 3.2.0-beta on boinc with app_info, please stop immediately. The result are likely to be faulty and will fail validation.
I expect the ports will be shut down for a week or more, but we're just at the initial stage of the investigation and more information will be made available at a later time.
As alternative projects to crunch, I'd suggest our BOINC GFN-Short (for CPU or GPU) and GFN-WR (GPU only).

We haven't released the 5.3.0 PRPNet client yet. You won't be able to use the GFN ports unless you are running at least the 5.3.0 clent.

The ports are now open, and new client packages have been released (http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=1215&nowrap=true#75606 . You must upgrade the client, connections from older client versions will be rejected by the server.

Are WUs completed with the dodgy software versions going to be deleted?
If version reporting has only now been added for the genefer apps there would be no way to tell which WUs were previously completed with one of the dodgy versions and the only way to be sure would be to delete results of all WUs done after the first dodgy version was released.
Either way crunching with the new 5.3.0 version will produce good results and so will be kept. |

We are working on a plan to retest all potentially incorrect WUs, don't worry!
