All recent tasks I've been running (SGS) ended like this
BOINC LLR 6.03 wrapper: starting
Can't run app: -148
19:09:47 (4840): called boinc_finish
And it isn't just my computer.

Same here. I tried switching to Proth Prime and the same thing happened. Detaching from and reattaching to PrimeGrid didn't help.

Same here on SGS and PPS. Units are completing correctly, so this looks like a server issue.

Should be fine now (app version 6.12 or 6.10).
We had a small problem updating the app to version 6.11 (only on Windows, other platforms worked fine), so 6.12 has been released.

Any way to send a kill/abort message for the 6.11 tasks that are now stuck in everyone's cache?

They will simply crash when being started, no harm done, and will be resent as 6.12 automatically.

We have released 6.11 (Linux only) again for the SGS (LLR) project to see if we can gather more information as to what is causing the crashing issues. FYI, Mac 6.11 did not have these issues and thus was never removed. Windows 6.12 remains unreleased while we study this on the Linux version.
Please post here if you are experiencing the crashing issue with SGS v6.11.

Update
The Linux 6.11 release has gone well with a 100% success rate. We have now released Windows 6.12 for SGS (LLR) and will monitor its progress.

I am getting inconclusive results due to host 194239. That host has about 300 invalid Windows 6.12 WUs and zero validated 6.12 WUs but there are about 120 validated 6.10 WUs. |

I am looking at it and it seems that some celeron and some intel Txxxx have a problem.

Thanks for the heads up. We have contacted johnos to gather further information. If anyone is experiencing this problem, please run the app in a command line (cmd) and report back what happens.
appname -q"1234*2^24477-1"
Or test this and see if it works http://jpenne.free.fr/Developmen/cllr386dev.zip
This is the same app that we're using in the 6.11 and 6.12 releases. Mac and Linux appear to be running fine...and many Windows as well. However, it is affect a number of Windows hosts and we're attempting to pinpoint why.

6.11 Linux and 6.12 Windows have been pulled again. Only 6.11 Mac remains stable. The other two have reverted back to 6.10. :(

I suspect it may be related to the CPU rather than the OS, but I could be wrong.
