Thanks Rytis...The AMD Users team is having an internal race on PrimeGrid so we are all stocking up on WUs and were getting a bit worried when the work dried up...Watch the space in terms of the team's WU out put...

The work generation has been deliberately slowed down because yesterday we experienced some kind of attack from BOINC clients - file uploads would start and slow down badly, locking up connections, causing server load and even site unresponsiveness. An effective Distributed Denial of Service attack :(
Things seem to be fine now, I will increase generation rate.

No work from project (last 15 hours) on all my comp.
In primegrid mainpage is actually Results Unsent 2668 Results in Progress 24011
My comp: 9585, 9709, 9892, 15395, 17146.

A logic error was introduced into work generator when a test app has been added (not publicly announced yet), therefore the generator always found out there was enough work for everyone (which is not true). I changed the logic and work should be flowing again.

Are we bringing the server to its knees? I keep seeing a lot of:

Well, the message usually tells truth ;)
The load level is always highest after BOINCstats update, and then it gradually goes down.

That's why the fund raising for a new server is in progress. The sooner we get enough dough, the quicker we can have a faster server, and fewer messages like that one. Especially with the continuing growth of both BOINCstats and PrimeGrid.

No new LLRs no, but you can always crunch normal Primegens for the moment. Until Rytis is ready to fix the problem. :-)

I am not sure if Rytis will be around much today or this weekend. First off he now has the killer storm that we in the West of Europe had Thursday, second he has another death in the family. So it may take a while.
Crunch for other projects in the mean time.

OK. I'm getting new WUs. The counter went up to over 1.9K results unsent, and then I got some work. That's just really weird. |

The counter is updated every 5 minutes, because it causes heavy load on the database. Nothing weird :)

OK. So it really was zero for work to be sent. Just that I couldn't see it, due to timing. Got it.
And, what I meant was weird, was that it was over 300, then dropped to around 200, then went over 1.9K. And no where along that timeline I was able to get any work.
But, everything seems back to normal. |
