Hey everyone!
I've been doing some of the "PPS (Sieve) v1.38 (ati13ati)" tasks on my PC, and I just checked my results on the site and I realized that I was getting Error While Computer as the status on every single one :O. Does anyone know why this could be?

I believe you are talking about the host with a "CAL ATI Radeon HD 4350/4550 (R710) (512MB) driver: 1.4.815".

Take a look in your project preferences for PPSsieve and you will see:

OpenCL requires AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP) drivers. If APP driver not available for your card, then the ATI Stream SDK is needed.


Be aware, OpenCL on the entire HD4000 series has only beta-state without any chance to full-support because the HD4000 series is outdated.

Same Error with HD3870. I installed the SDK from this site: http://developer.amd.com/archive/gpu/ATIStreamSDKv1.4Beta/Pages/default.aspx

My card should be supported (is in the list). What could I made wrong?
(I could change to 4870X2 but I would like to test sieving with the older card first.)
Any suggestions?

Sorry my bad english - Im not a native speaker. ;)

The PPSsieve-app on ATI/AMD uses OpenCL and you need at least a HD4000 gpu. All older cards are not supported.
