In essence, it means that at least one of the two computers returned an incorrect result, but it's not known which of the two is wrong. A third computer is therefore sent the same WU, and will presumably match one of the two results.

It is very possible. I have one that has 6 validation inclusive results.
It means that all of them have returned different residues so another is sent out until two of the results match up, those 2 results get credit, then all the other ones are marked as wrong and get no points.

If several of the machines are severely over-clocked, ALL of them can return invalid (different) results, so all are marked inconclusive.
