I have a new card for testing purposes. The new GTS450 eco-series is available now from different vendors.
My new card is a MSI N450GTS-MD1GD3 eco in the known host 115189. All times are in comparison to the older Zotac GeForce GT 440 Synergy Edition, 1GB DDR3, 2x DVI, HDMI (ZT-40708-10L) and MSI VN240GT-MD1G GeForce GT 240, 1GB GDDR3, VGA, DVI, HDMI (V804-007R).

The GTS450 eco-series means powered only by PCIe-slot like the GT440 or GT240(GT215). Wether an external power connector is needed nor available.
Without any differences in the app's, only the card itself was changed.
driver = 270.26beta
192 shaders like the normal GTS450
No downclocking problem with this driver version until now, but also the same no overclocking capabilities in linux with the same driver and "coolbits=1". Same for "coolbits=4" or/and "coolbits=5", only the fan-speed is changable...

This card has the 3 powerstates 0 (2D), 1 (3D-desktop like compiz or Aero) and 3 (3D) with following clockrates for:
2D
core = 50mhz
memory = 135mhz
shader = 101mhz

Desktop
core = 405mhz
memory = 324mhz
shader = 810mhz

3D
core = 700mhz
memory = 900mhz
shader = 1400mhz

I'm happy with the clockrates of 700mhz core and 900mhz memory for that eco-model, because the Zotac GTS450eco has lower rates from 600mhz core (resulting in 1200mhz shader) and 667 (memory)...


GCW-sieve:
GTS450eco = ~450sec
GT440 (testing) = ~775sec
GT240 (old) = ~935sec


PPS-sieve:
GTS450eco = ~2,565sec
GT440 = ~4,500sec
GT240 = ~4,800sec not listed


Same host 42940 at Collatz
mini_collatz:
GTS450eco = ~700sec
GT440 = ~1,250sec
GT240 = ~1,670sec


And as host 10177 at dnetc
GTS450eco = ~2,570
GT440 = ~4,430sec

Einstein is not usefull since there is much difference in runtime between units
Especially since also the settings for cpu load can differ much
I have set ncpu at 0,04 the run times was increase enormous so as a test i now put ncpu at 0,50
And then you will see a faster ending time on gpu but a much bigger load on the cpu as well.
When running 2 units at the gpu that does render a whole cpu core useless for my prime95

Projects like primegrid however run fine next to prime95
Sadly you opened a complete new thread for compare the cards while a older one was already present with some results

Here are some run times with TPsieve (the app behind PPSsieve). The used driver 270.26beta doesn't know the right name of my card and lists her as 'D12P1-30'...

Not really if you have a view at the run times from "Bikeman".

This is nothing new for me and was answered in thread New Einstein@Home Radio Pulsar Search and NVIDIA GPU Code.

In addition, when running on an NVIDIA GPU card, this new application makes very little use of the CPU (typically around 20% CPU use when the GPU is devoted to Einstein@Home).

The NVIDIA GPU application is initially available for Windows and Linux only. We hope to have a Macintosh version available soon. Due to limitations in the NVIDIA drivers, the Linux version still makes heavy use of the CPU. This will be fixed in Spring 2011, when a new version of the NVIDIA Driver is released. Many thanks to NVIDIA technical support for their assistance!

Because we have exhausted the backlog of data from Arecibo Observatory, this new application is being shipped with data from the Parkes Multibeam Pulsar Survey (from the Parkes Radio Telescope in Australia). In the next weeks we expect to also start using this new application on fresh Arecibo data taken with the latest 'Mock Spectrometer' back-end.

It is not, it is *budget edition* with 512 mbt memory onboard, they were the cheapest ones available.
