I recently started crunching SoB again. Of particular interest is this WU, which I recently completed.
The wingman completed the WU back in December with 5.11, while mine was completed just now with 6.09.
It's interesting because both my computer and the wingman's computers are running the same CPU (C2Q Q6600) and both are running Windows 7. It's pretty close to an exact comparison between the two versions of LLR.
1,139,107.57 seconds of CPU time vs. 824,309.11 seconds, and the only real difference was the version of the LLR software.
While there are several other environmental factors that could affect this comparison, my computer is at the bad end of that spectrum (lack of overclocking, running four LLRs simultaneously), so if there are other factors at play here, chances are that removing those factors would only make the difference between 5.11 and 6.09 even greater.
6.09 cut nearly 4 days off the run time for this SoB WU.
Outstanding!

A major consideration could be "Use at most x% CPU time".
That said, I agree 6.09 is definitely faster.

That setting should have a negligible effect on the CPU time measurement. Elapsed time, yes; CPU time, no.

Good point, Michael.
I also noticed that you have higher Run time/ CPU time ratio.

That computer is my main personal computer, so it's doing a lot of stuff.

6.09 (actually it's BOINC LLR wrapper 6.03 and not 6.09) is only the wrapper for the new LLR 3.8.4 app that does the real number crunching ;)
