So, I downloaded the PRPNet application and set it to run off of this server:
server=SGS:100:1:prpnet.primegrid.com:12000
It connects and get WU, but does it report them automatically?
How can I verify what credits I get? Also I understand there is a special badge for PRPNet, what are the requirements for this badge?
Sorry for the trivial type questions, but it is the first time I have ever ran PRPNet.

Yes, You can check this out by looking in the prpclient.log file.
It will show you what has been going on with your client.
The test_results.log will just list your results
These files are in each of your sub-dir - (prpclient-1, prpclient-2, etc)
How can I verify what credits I get? Also I understand there is a special badge for PRPNet, what are the requirements for this badge?
Ruby - 4M
Pink - 2M
Gold - 1M
Silver - 200K
Copper - 20K
It will be listed under the Sub-project PSA
Sorry for the trivial type questions, but it is the first time I have ever ran PRPNet.
I would like to say Welcome
You will find a great time here. Just don't get crazy about when the
PRPNet points get transfered to PSA coblestones. It will happen. It always does.
Good Luck with your hunt.

Note that credit for PSA is not applied instantly, unlike the other PrimeGrid projects. It is applied manually every few weeks or so, so you'll have to be a little patient with getting credit, especially when first starting out.
Once you start getting credit, though, as long as you keep crunching on PSA the credit tends to be applied more consistently. |

Thank you, I did not realize that I could add the team ID. Also I am running the same version of PRPNet.
Also cone more quick question, which project seems to be having the most success rate?

Not an easy question - To answer we need to look at some stats.
http://u-g-f.de/PRPNet/
will give you some PRPNet stats.
http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=3043&nowrap=true#31351
will give you some times per WU
But these are past stats ..... As time goes on the numbers get bigger, and will take longer to
do each WU. And primes father apart. (more WU's per Prime)
For example: ESP
220,370 test have been done with 23 primes that have been found
So that means 1 prime for every 9,581 WU's average
On a 2.33GHz box it will take 3hr 20min per WU
1331 days to find one just using a single core
665 days using two core
333 days using four cores .... etc
---------------------------------------------------
For example:10K
8,722,828 test have been done with 6,884 primes that have been found
So that means 1 prime for every 1,267 WU's average
On a 2.30Ghz box it will take 15 sec per WU
5 hr 15 min to find one just using a single core
2 hr 38 min using two cores .. etc
----------------------------------------------------
Ports 10K & 11K are the ports will provide the most success rate. But not very big Primes.
They will not make Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database (Top 5,000 Primes)
http://primes.utm.edu/primes/
Hope this helps

Is this good or is always changing because the ports are apparently PPSSElow 10K and 11K have become old port ...

You need to delete port 10000 and 11000 and add the line
server=PPSElow:0:10:prpnet.mine.nu:12000
But be aware one server must have a resource share of 100 or 2x50 or 3x25 ... if not client is closing directly after opening, bug or feature dont know ^^

These 2 ports:
server=PPSElow10:0:0:uwin.mine.nu:10000
server=PPSElow11:0:0:prime2u.com:11000
Have been replaced by:
server=PPSElow:0:1:prpnet.mine.nu:12000
Changes are rare - but they do happen.
