Hello all. Just poking around as we prepare for the upcoming 321 challenge. Looks like the forums here are a bit dusty; could use some pledge... While I'm at it I'll look for some info on the AVX files. My only problem is I've got the Ivy bridge, and it looks like there are only files for the Sandy bridge machines...

My lucky number is still 13. |

;-) Hei you!!
Yes, not much any of the team threads in the project forums are used anymore.. (mainly
in Seti / MW and here) - its just because we have our team forum.. so we use these
places more like cottages.. hehe
You are free to clean and dust them a bit.. ;-)

And off we go. I got one WR task and with luck I should be able to complete two. w00t!
Good luck everyone!! |
|
|
|
So, it looks like with OpenCL tasks, the project has run dry
4/26/2015 3:31:06 AM | PrimeGrid | Requesting new tasks for NVIDIA and intel_gpu
4/26/2015 3:31:09 AM | PrimeGrid | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
4/26/2015 3:31:09 AM | PrimeGrid | Project has no tasks available
As I only have a couple PG tasks remaining (though they were a cache from before the challenge), I'm guessing the queue has run dry for the project. Server status says 42k ready to send
http://www.primegrid.com/server_status.php
but no specification if it's CPU or GPU there...

FWIW, and I really don't know why I haven't tried this before, it really makes a difference if you reserve a CPU core for GPU tasks.
My 7950 was taking 90 hours or so for WR tasks but the one I've completed and the one I'm 25% through will come in at 76 hours each. Should be able to chuck in a couple of shorts. Sweet.
On the other hand, I cant get openCL tasks to run on my MacBook. OK, they run, but they soon crap out. Oh well.
Go Team!! |
