I see over at the SOB Forum there is discussion about an alliance with PG. This is very interesting (I do both).

I wonder what the thoughts are here at PG?

The SOB search is fairly advanced, the work units are long (current n=about 17M) and run on Prime95.

It seems that Prime95 would then be used under BOINC. Maybe could also try some GIMPS?

I think that this is an exciting possibility. I think most of us here at PG are simply interested in helping to solve these problems, so a 14th sub-project (however it is ultimately partnered with SOB) would be a very welcome addition.

I have 4 pc's with a total of 12 cores which I run for an average of approx. 10 hours a day. I'm not in the same league as lennart SM5YMT, shanky, [XTBA>TSA] IvanleFou, SG Grid, ALB42, Puzzle-Pete, Honza, etc., etc.

The only reason I have a high RAC is because of the lumpy manner in which my credits arrive. For example, my actual average credits over the last 5 days is jusy over 1,000 per day. Not great!
