In general, when a prime is returned to PrimeGrid's server:
- If it's a Proth Prime, it is queued for GFN testing
- It is checked against the Top 5000 list to see if it has been already reported
- Prime Finder is notified through email
- Prime is reported
- Prime is released publicly at PrimeGrid (shows up in primes list)
As everyone has noticed, prime counts in your "Account" page are updated immediately. Therefore, there are times when the count will be different than the primes actually displayed on the "prime finders" page. This usually means that we're still waiting for the prime to be reported before it's displayed publicly...which means if you didn't receive an email, you're probably the double checker.
In both your instances, Scott Brown & UBT - bobuk, this is the case. Y'all are both double checkers to primes that have yet to be reported by the finders.
