I'm doing some timing runs, getting ready for the next challenge in December(!!!), and had a couple of these tasks pop up that have a 'c' in the name, e.g., genefer21_68560119c
Looking at a completed 'c' task, noticed this in stderr output:
847396^{2^21} + 1 is checked, ckey = C10EF710D0A86A22, time = 01:28:40
Is the 'c' in the name a designation for a 'ckey' task? If so, what exactly is a ckey task?
I looked at other completed tasks, that were 'normal' aka much longer (like days) and couldn't find a ckey in the task completion info. Also, I googled 'ckey primegrid' and nothing came up . . .

A Proof task is a quick computation that checks the correctness of a Main task.
With the previous version, the second task was a full test (DC: double-check).
Now the main task generates a "proof" and the second task checks that this proof is valid. The "check-key" is the magic number that proves to the server that the primality test was computed (no cheating) and that no hardware failure occured.
See Verifiable Delay Function for more details.
